Fractional energy is generally considered the most effective way to permanently improve the appearance of “indented” acne scars. By stimulating new collagen, the Sublative treatment can help raise these indented areas and create smoother skin. It can safely be used for darker skin types.
Microneedling is another very effective way to stimulate new collagen and raise indented scars. Compared to traditional laser resurfacing techniques, microneedling has the benefit of less downtime and less risk, yet impressive results. Microneedling is also safe to use on all skin types.
Intense Pulsed Light gently and gradually improves the appearance of pigmented (brown) and vascular (red) spots on the skin. These types of discoloration can be quite common after acne, making IPL a good choice for evening out skin tone.
Chemical peels help to reveal brighter, healthier, smoother skin by exfoliating the dry and damaged skin cells on the outermost layer of the skin.
Dermal fillers can be used to temporarily add volume to scars that are depressed, allowing the scars to better blend with the surrounding skin. A variety of fillers may be used, depending on the size and type of volume loss in and around the scar.
